Description
The FY26 Arts Education Program Grant, offered by the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), supports Georgia Learning Standards-aligned arts education programs for K-12 students. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, schools, public libraries, and government agencies based in Georgia. Programs can range from in-school or after-school initiatives to artist residencies, virtual education, or arts integration programs. The grant is designed to foster meaningful connections between arts and education and emphasizes accessibility, curriculum alignment, and measurable outcomes.
Applicants can request between $1,000 and $5,000, with the grant covering up to 66% of total project costs and requiring a 50% cash match. Funding is offered on a reimbursement basis, with expenses eligible from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Applications must demonstrate alignment with Georgia Learning Standards, provide a detailed program budget, and address accessibility and underserved student needs. The application deadline is February 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
Evaluation criteria include program design and goals, student impact, curriculum alignment, and organizational capacity. Applications are scored by a diverse panel, and funding is awarded to high-scoring projects until available funds are exhausted. Ineligible expenses include capital improvements, fundraising, food, and equipment exceeding $5,000. Applications must be submitted online through GCA’s grant portal, and applicants are encouraged to ensure completeness as late or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
