Expanding Global Health Security through Local Partnerships in Indonesia
This funding opportunity provides financial support to various organizations to enhance Indonesia's public health systems and capacity through collaboration with the Ministry of Health, focusing on critical areas like surveillance, laboratory systems, and emergency response.
Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) CDC-RFA-JG-25-0141 focuses on expanding global health security in Indonesia through local partnerships. This program seeks to enhance collaboration between the CDC and Indonesia's Ministry of Health (MOH) to achieve global health security goals and implement International Health Regulations (IHR) core principles. The goal is to strengthen Indonesia’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to public health threats while building on existing public health infrastructure and past CDC initiatives, specifically the CDC-RFA-GH20-2120 project.
The NOFO targets five critical public health areas: Real-Time Surveillance and Reporting, Laboratory Systems, Workforce Development, Emergency Management and Response, and Health System Strengthening and Service Delivery. The projects should address the recommendations from the 2023 Joint External Evaluation (JEE), align with the MOH’s strategic plans, and prioritize gaps identified in the National Action Plan for Health Security. Effective monitoring and evaluation of program performance and progress are also required as part of the implementation strategy.
