Clean Air Program (CAP) Grants - Round 3
This program provides funding for businesses in Colorado's industrial and manufacturing sectors to implement projects that reduce air pollution, especially in communities most affected by environmental issues.
Description
The Clean Air Program (CAP), established by the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) following Senate Bill 22-193, provides reimbursement-based grants for air pollutant emission reduction projects in Colorado's industrial and manufacturing sectors. With a budget of $25 million over six years ending June 30, 2028, CAP targets voluntary emission reduction initiatives. Eligible projects include fossil fuel efficiency, fuel switching, industrial process modifications, strategic electrification, renewable energy integration, and carbon management efforts. The program prioritizes projects in disproportionately impacted communities and nonattainment areas, with a particular focus on additionality, ensuring projects exceed existing legal mandates.
