The grant cycle runs from July 2025 through June 2026, with applications opening on March 4, 2025, and closing on April 4, 2025.

Eligible applicants include municipalities, counties, Tribal Governments, and units of government within New Mexico. There are no indications that nonprofit organizations or individuals are eligible to apply. Applications are subject to review by a panel, and funding is distributed based on alignment with program goals and the strength of the application.
