Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation

This grant provides funding for innovative healthcare projects in the greater Lee’s Summit area, prioritizing initiatives that promote community health, education, and sustainability.

Description

The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation (GLSHF) offers grants for projects that align with its mission and have the potential to broadly benefit the community. Priority is given to initiatives in areas such as research, education, public training, school programs, clinics for indigent care, equipment, and other innovative projects. The foundation favors proposals that can become self-sustaining over time, and applicants may request multi-year funding.

Grant requests must be for at least $2,500, with submissions accepted between September 1 and October 31. Grant recipients will be announced in January, and funding is disbursed in stages: 50% at notification, 25% upon submission of an interim report, and the final 25% at the end of the grant cycle. Exceptions for full upfront payment may be considered if a demonstrated need exists.

Eligible projects must serve the greater Lee’s Summit area, and grants cannot be used for individual benefits, day-to-day operating expenses, or salaries, except as initial "seed" funding for new initiatives. Applications are assessed based on their innovation, focus, feasibility, budget, and community impact. Materials not submitted online should be mailed to the GLSHF office.
