Community Foundation of West Plains Grant Program 2025
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations and other eligible entities that work to improve the quality of life in the West Plains community.
Description
The Community Foundation of West Plains Inc. Affiliate Grantmaking Program supports initiatives aimed at improving quality of life within the West Plains area. Governed by a local Board of Directors and guided by a grant committee, this foundation is dedicated to identifying and addressing the community's most pressing needs. With a flexible grantmaking approach, the program relies on the support of donors who have established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds, allowing community leaders the discretion to allocate funds where they are most needed. For the FY25 grant cycle, eligible organizations may apply for grants of up to $2,500.
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and other IRS-approved entities, such as government agencies, school districts, and churches, provided they serve the West Plains community. The foundation encourages all qualifying organizations that positively impact the West Plains area to apply, as grant awards are contingent upon available funding and aim to address the community's evolving needs.
Applications must be submitted by 11:45 p.m. on December 4, 2024. Prospective applicants should take note that the online application system counts all characters—including letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation—in the responses to each question, so concise and clear answers are essential.
The foundation’s non-discrimination policy applies to both the award process and grantee operations. Specifically, neither the Community Foundation of West Plains Inc. nor its affiliates will base grant decisions on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. Grantees are similarly required not to discriminate on these grounds in employment practices or access to services when using foundation funds.
