Description
The Southern Arizona Counseling and Community Services Grant (RFGA2025-008) is a funding opportunity issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). The purpose of this grant is to support nonprofit organizations providing counseling and community services to populations and communities within Southern Arizona. This program targets counties that have been identified as high-need areas: Yuma, Pima, Graham, Greenlee, Santa Cruz, and Cochise Counties. The goal is to improve access to mental health services, support community engagement, and provide vital resources to underserved populations in these counties.
The funding allows for a total of $1,000,000 to be distributed across multiple grants, with the possibility for partial awards based on the availability of funds and the specific needs of the regions being served. The program will prioritize nonprofits that demonstrate the capacity to provide licensed counseling services and community programs that address the unique challenges facing communities in Southern Arizona.
Counseling services may include individual, family, or group counseling for people experiencing mental health issues, substance use disorders, and other challenges that impact their well-being. Community services may include programs that offer prevention education, outreach, social services, and capacity building to empower individuals in Southern Arizona to overcome barriers to wellness.
Organizations will need to submit a detailed budget outline using the Attachment G - Budget Workbook to ensure that all proposed costs align with the goals and activities outlined in the RFGA. Grant recipients must also adhere to the funding restrictions and be prepared to meet the grant's deliverables throughout the funding period.
