The Entry Track grant, administered by the Idaho Commission on the Arts, is an annual funding opportunity designed to support emerging arts organizations within Idaho that provide public arts programming. Eligible applicants for this grant include nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status held for at least three years, units of local, county, tribal, or state government, including schools and school districts, and university arts programs that do not already receive Public Programs in the Arts grants. Applicants must demonstrate a three-year history of program delivery, possess a valid Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) issued by SAM.gov, and provide fair compensation for professional artists and administrators. Organizations must also have the arts as a primary mission unless they are government entities.

Grant funding amounts vary and are determined by a formula that considers the panel review assessment, the fiscal size of the applicant, and prior funding received from the Commission. Awards are issued in full after Commission approval, which occurs during the May Commission meeting. Notifications are sent in June, with funds available by July. All applications must be submitted online by January 31, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Applicants may only submit one Entry Track application per fiscal year.

The application process includes online submission through the Idaho Commission on the Arts’ grant portal, with the option to save and revise applications before final submission. Applicants are encouraged to seek feedback through a courtesy review, which must be requested at least three weeks before the deadline. Required application materials include work samples and organizational details, including a budget that reflects any indirect costs if applicable.

Grant funds may not be used for activities such as endowment contributions, fundraising for non-arts purposes, prizes or scholarships, debt payments, or promotional items. Final reports for previously received grants must be completed and approved to maintain eligibility.
