The Cowles Charitable Trust meets four times a year to consider grant requests. Eligible requests must be submitted by specific deadlines to be included in the agendas. The Trust supports the arts, education, ethical journalism, medical and climate research, and occasionally national and international efforts. The maximum yearly grant is $10000. The organization must be recognized as a 501c(3) by the IRS.
