Description
The MI Neighborhood Program, administered by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), allocates $60 million in funding for FY24 to support public amenities, rehabilitation, and new housing units. This initiative aligns with regional action plans and the Statewide Housing Plan to enhance community living standards through targeted investments. The program provides varying award sizes based on applicant experience, from $200,000 for beginners to $2 million for advanced applicants. Projects must be located in downtown or adjacent areas, promoting health, safety, and quality of life improvements. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, units of local government, and for-profit developers (except for public amenities).
