In an era of rising construction costs, the façade grant is here to give neighbors a helping hand.
Funding Information
The grant program provides 50/50 reimbursement for eligible improvements up to $5,000 to encourage and advance revitalization efforts.
Eligible Improvements
Exterior painting of all exterior elevations on residence as well as their cleaning and preparation for painting.
Repair siding of exterior walls on all elevations.
Masonry and/or stucco repair and replacement.
Installation, replacement, or repair of existing awnings or shutters.
Repairing/replacing doors and windowpanes of residence. (Must meet current Florida Code.
Repairing or reconstructing front porches and/ or stoops.
Remedying exterior code enforcement violations.
Repair or replace existing fencing.
Constructing or repairing accessibility ramps.
Roof repair or replacement (applicant must identify and document a need, example roof leak, tree damage, etc.)
Weatherization & Insulation
Tree removal for trees causing damage to roof, utility lines, cracking foundation, or structural damage.
Garage door(s) attached to living quarters.
Outdoor security lighting
Eligibility Criteria
Only residential properties located within the City of High Springs Community Redevelopment District are eligible for this grant.
