Local
City of Hobart

This grant provides financial support for educational and worker training programs that benefit residents of Hobart, aiming to enhance their skills for a competitive global economy.

Description

The Hobart Redevelopment Commission (RDC) is offering grants for the 2025 Educational & Worker Training Grant Program to support initiatives that prepare individuals for participation in a competitive, global economy. These grants are designed to promote redevelopment and economic growth in the City of Hobart by funding educational programs, worker training, and retraining efforts, with a preference for projects that primarily benefit Hobart residents.

A total of $30,000 is available for grants in 2025. The RDC may award a single grant, multiple grants, or choose not to award any grants depending on the applications received. Grant funds will be provided on a reimbursement basis, meaning recipients must incur the full cost of the funded project and then submit documentation for reimbursement. The grant period requires recipients to submit compliance updates every 90 days, and funds will be reimbursed within 45 days of submission of a completed request.

Eligibility: The program is open to applicants who offer educational, worker training, or other development programs. A majority of the individuals served by the grant must be Hobart residents. Applications are due by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024.
