Description
The Western Suburbs Giving Circle (WSGC), a fund of the Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW), is seeking applications for its 2025 grant cycle. This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations that serve women and girls in Cook County and DuPage County’s western suburbs. WSGC offers one-year grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 to organizations working within CFW’s three issue areas: economic security, freedom from gender-based violence, and access to health. The grants can be used for program-specific or general operating support. Applicants must align with CFW’s guiding principles, including applying a gender lens, promoting reproductive justice, ensuring diversity in board and staff, providing accessibility for persons with disabilities, and fostering respect for LGBTQ individuals.
Applications are submitted through CFW’s online grant portal, Foundant, and must include detailed program information, budgets, and alignment with the funding framework. Organizations with budgets under $3 million and at least 50% of staff leadership identifying as women, transgender, or non-binary individuals are eligible. Site visits for selected applicants will occur between April 14 and April 25, 2025, with funding decisions announced by June 30, 2025.
