Goodpush Alliance (supported by Skateistan)

This funding opportunity provides financial support to nonprofits worldwide that promote racial equity and inclusion in the skateboarding community through various programs and initiatives.

Description

The Goodpush Alliance, supported by Skateistan, has announced the 4th annual Pushing Against Racism (PAR) Fund for 2025-2026. The fund aims to strengthen diversity and inclusion within the global social skateboarding community by providing financial support to nonprofits worldwide. The total funding pool has been doubled from previous years, with $30,000 USD available for distribution in 2025. Grants will be awarded with input from an international expert jury and are intended to support projects that promote racial equity, access, and leadership opportunities in skateboarding.

The PAR Fund is open to nonprofits located anywhere in the world, with specific grants reserved for each continent, and additional grants based on the quality and location of applications. Applicants must have signed the Commitment to Anti-Racism in Skateboarding to be eligible. Funded activities may include skateboarding programs, events, or paid opportunities for youth from communities affected by racism. Projects must be carried out between July 2025 and June 2026 and can be new or ongoing programs.

Funding will be allocated across two categories: larger "Continent Grants" of $2,500 each for at least one project per continent (plus two wildcard grants) and "Community Grants" of $1,000 each for up to 10 smaller projects globally. Selection will prioritize leadership by people of color, initiatives serving marginalized and underrepresented groups, and programs offering sustainability and long-term impact.

Applications are encouraged from both established organizations and newer projects, provided they demonstrate a strong, thoughtful plan tailored to their local skateboarding context. English proficiency is not required, and applicants may use translation tools or submit applications in their native language. A webinar to support applicants will be held on April 8, 2025. The deadline to submit applications is April 30, 2025.

For questions or additional support, applicants can attend the Application Support Webinar on April 8, 2025, or reach out through the provided application links. The fund’s jury includes representatives from each continent with strong backgrounds in skateboarding and social advocacy.
