Description
The Cultural Field Trip Fund, offered by the Office of Arts + Culture in Boulder, Colorado, aims to provide children at Title 1 schools in the Boulder Valley School District with direct exposure to arts institutions and cultural destinations. The fund seeks to impact students in schools with the greatest need and increase their engagement in cultural participation and creative careers. A total of $10,000 is available for the 2024-2025 school year, with a maximum amount of $2,000 per teacher for transportation and/or entry fees for field trips within the city limits of Boulder. Funding is awarded on a first come, first served basis until all funds are distributed. Public school teachers with approval from their administrators are eligible to apply, prioritizing schools with Title 1 designation. Field trips must take place before May 31, 2025. The application process involves completing an online form and providing information on the field trip and expenses. Grant awards are announced at monthly meetings of the Boulder Arts Commission following administrative review. Recipients will be contacted by the Office of Arts and Culture to complete necessary paperwork. A post-event questionnaire will be sent for reporting purposes.
