Dublin Arts Council

This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations for arts projects that enrich the Dublin, Ohio community through creativity and engagement.

Description

The Dublin Arts Council’s Community Arts Grants (CAG) program supports nonprofit organizations that engage in arts projects benefiting the Dublin, Ohio community. Since 2014, the program has provided over $250,000 in funding to more than 60 projects. The goal of the program is to foster creativity, lifelong learning, and community engagement through the arts, funding projects in all disciplines, including visual, performing, and literary arts.

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations, and the projects must have a direct impact in Dublin. Projects can range from single events to a series of activities, with typical awards ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. The projects must occur between January 1 and December 31, 2025, and align with the Dublin Arts Council’s mission of engaging the community and enhancing life through the arts.

Applications are evaluated based on three criteria: Artistic Quality, Public Benefit, and Organizational Capacity. These factors determine the ability of the project to deliver high-quality artistic experiences, its impact on the community, and the organization’s capability to manage and execute the project. Each application is scored on a 100-point scale, with Public Benefit weighted most heavily (40 points).

The deadline to submit applications is November 1, 2024, with eligibility reviews and committee evaluations taking place through January 2025. Awards will be announced in late January 2025. The funded organizations will be required to acknowledge Dublin Arts Council’s support in their promotional materials and provide a final report on their project by February 6, 2026, documenting how funds were used and the project's outcomes.

Applicants should submit all required documents, including a project budget, financial statements, staff bios, and samples of publicity or evaluation tools. Incomplete applications or those that do not meet eligibility criteria will not be considered. For assistance, applicants can contact the Education & Development Manager, Katy Marque, via email or phone.
