Grant Opportunity: Community Benefit
The Foundation supports capacity building and projects that improve the quality of life for North Texans. Eligible organizations include qualified public entities or organizations exempt from tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation does not support private foundations, commercial businesses, or individuals.
Funding areas of focus include Animal Welfare, Child Welfare, Mental & Behavioral Health, Chronic Health & Disability Services, and Child & Youth Experiences. Grants can be used for general operating expenses, specific programs or projects, and capital requests. The Foundation typically funds up to 25% of a project's budget or up to 10% of an organization's total annual operating budget.
Grant applications are accepted throughout the year, but it is recommended to submit at least four months before funding is needed. If awarded a grant, organizations must submit a final report before being eligible to apply for another grant. The Foundation communicates the disposition of applications in writing within three to four months after receiving an eligible application.
