2025 Individual Artist Fellowships
This grant provides funding to professional artists in Sullivan County to support their creative work and encourage community engagement through public exhibitions or performances.
Description
The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) is offering Individual Artist Fellowships for 2025, providing direct funding to support professional artists living and working in Sullivan County. Up to six fellowships, valued at $3,000 each, will be awarded—two each in the categories of Visual Arts, Literary Arts, and Compositional Arts. A key component of the fellowship is community engagement, requiring recipients to share their work with the public through an exhibition, performance, or similar event that invites community participation. The application deadline for the 2025 fellowships is January 30, 2025, and guidelines are currently available.
As part of DVAA’s “Arts for Sullivan” Statewide Community Regrants Program, funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with state legislative support, these fellowships are designed to enrich local culture by enabling artists to deepen their practice and engage with the community. DVAA will host informational workshops, both online and in-person, to help applicants with grant writing, budgeting, and project development. Workshops are required for first-time applicants and recommended for all others, with sessions scheduled on October 2 at Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library in Monticello, October 10 at Mamakating Library in Wurtsboro, October 30 on Zoom, and November 2 at New Memories in Parksville.
Potential applicants are encouraged to review the fellowship guidelines in advance and may contact DVAA’s Grants Manager, Tanner Simon, for personalized support. Tanner can be reached at (845) 252-7576 x 1004 or by email at grants@delawarevalleyartsalliance.org.
