Local
Blackford County Community Foundation

This grant provides funding for community development, education, health, and human services projects that improve quality of life and address local needs in Blackford County.

Description

The Blackford County Community Foundation provides funding to support initiatives in the fields of community development, education, health, and human services. The foundation focuses on projects that address community needs, enhance quality of life, and foster collaboration among local organizations. Grants are evaluated based on the significance of the problem or opportunity, the number of beneficiaries, the timing of the project, and the level of community or financial support.

Funding is not awarded to for-profit enterprises, political activities, religious purposes, operating budgets, or endowment purposes. Exceptions may be made for experimental or demonstration projects with compelling justification. Grants for capital campaigns will only be considered if they are essential to a program addressing priority needs and after a significant portion of the campaign's total requirements has been raised.

Applications are accepted in two cycles each year. Cycle I applications are due on February 6, 2025, with approval by March 20, 2025. Cycle II applications are due on August 7, 2025, with approval by September 18, 2025. Applicants must contact the foundation’s executive director to confirm eligibility before submitting proposals through the foundation’s online application system.
