Description

The FY25 Nonprofit Security Grant Program is designed to provide funding to nonprofit and faith-based organizations located in Montgomery County that are at high risk of experiencing hate crimes. The program aims to enhance security measures through funding for personnel, planning, training, or security equipment. The total funding available for this program is $1,200,000, with individual applicants able to request up to $15,000 per facility. Organizations with multiple facilities are required to submit separate applications for each, with a maximum of five applications allowed per organization. The grant awards will be effective for one year following the execution of a grant agreement by Montgomery County. Eligible applicants include tax-exempt nonprofit organizations and 501(c)(3) faith-based facilities that demonstrate a risk of hate crimes based on their community and known threats.
