Description
The PF Fund for the Baldwin Area provides project funding to nonprofit organizations that benefit the community and residents of Baldwin, Maine. This grant program supports initiatives aligned with the interests of community improvement, education, environmental stewardship, and human services. For the 2025 cycle, applications open on December 1, 2024, and close on February 3, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Notifications of awards will be made by April 15, 2025.
Eligible applicants must meet the Maine Community Foundation's grant eligibility requirements. Proposed projects must directly benefit the Baldwin area, and priority is given to initiatives that promote self-reliance among residents, public awareness of forestry and the natural resource economy, education, and sustainable natural resource management. Additional consideration is given to projects that leverage grant funds to raise other resources or social capital and to those unlikely to receive funding from other sources.
The fund provides project support for new, expanding, and ongoing programs. While there is no maximum award amount, past grant awards have ranged from $11,590 on average to $46,359 collectively in the most recent cycle, with 67% of applicants receiving grants.
