Hearld Ambler Fund for Senior Centers Grant Application FY25
This grant provides financial support to senior centers in specific Missouri counties to enhance their programs, services, and facilities for older adults.
Description
The Hearld Ambler Fund for Senior Centers Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2025 is accepting applications from March 3, 2025, through May 15, 2025. This grant program is dedicated to supporting senior centers that serve older adults in counties within the SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging service area in Missouri. The eligible counties include Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Lawrence, Oregon, Ozark, Polk, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright.
The fund will provide up to $13,000 in grant funding during the summer of 2025. This funding must be used for eligible expenses that support the senior centers’ programming, services, or facility improvements. Importantly, the fund does not reimburse for items already purchased, so all expenditures must occur after grant funds are awarded.
A grant follow-up report is required to be submitted within six months of receiving the grant award. At the time of this follow-up, any unused funds must be returned to the grantor. This accountability ensures that awarded funds are used as intended to benefit the senior centers and the communities they serve.
The grant is administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO), which upholds a strict nondiscrimination policy in its grantmaking. No applicant will be discriminated against based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. Additionally, grantees must ensure that their employment practices and service access policies are also free from such discrimination when using CFO grant funds.
All applications must be submitted online by 11:45 p.m. on May 15, 2025, through the CFO’s grant application portal. The system uses a character count for all application questions, which includes letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation.
