Description

The Invasive Tree Species Removal & Management Sub-Grant provides funding to support the removal and management of invasive tree species, specifically Tree of Heaven or Bradford Pear. Grants range from $500 to $7,000 and do not require a matching contribution. This program is available for projects conducted on public lands or open spaces and does not provide funding to individuals.

To be eligible, applicants must have an EIN number, as payments will only be made to organizations. A mandatory site visit by urban forestry staff is required before submitting a project proposal. Appointments for site visits will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis, with the final day to request an appointment being January 10, 2025. No site visits will occur after January 17, 2025.

Applications must be submitted via the online application form by 4:30 p.m. on January 31, 2025. Interested applicants are encouraged to schedule their site visit promptly to meet the deadlines and ensure their proposal complies with program requirements.
