Description
The Noxious Weed Management Grants are funded through the Noxious Weed Management Fund and the United States Forest Service (USFS) State & Private Forestry Grants. Approximately $700,000 of Noxious Weed Management Fund is available for the 2025 grant round, along with approximately $40,000 of USFS SPF funding. The primary objectives of the grant program are to provide financial resources for the eradication and containment of state-listed noxious weeds, produce measurable outcomes for noxious weed management across Colorado, and assist underfunded weed management programs. Eligible applicants include local governing bodies, conservation districts, non-profit organizations, and organized private entities. The application deadline is December 16, 2024, with estimated notifications of award by February 14, 2025.
