The Advancing Macomb Nonprofit Accelerator is a new pilot program designed to support and elevate small to mid-sized nonprofits in Macomb County, Michigan. This initiative provides a four-month cohort learning experience aimed at strengthening nonprofit organizations through mentorship, structured learning, and peer collaboration. The program is facilitated by Advancing Macomb, in partnership with capacity-building organizations across Michigan.
The Accelerator program will equip participating organizations with essential knowledge about nonprofit management, leadership, and sustainability within the Southeast Michigan nonprofit ecosystem. The curriculum combines virtual and in-person sessions, with 2-3 meetings per month over the course of the program. Participants will engage with mentors, nonprofit experts, and peer organizations, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The program will accept up to 10 Macomb-based organizations for the Winter 2025 cohort. Selected organizations will benefit from expert guidance, networking opportunities, and practical training tailored to nonprofit leaders' needs. Advancing Macomb will also use this pilot program to refine and enhance future iterations based on participant feedback.
The application deadline for the Winter 2025 cohort is February 15, 2025, with acceptance notifications sent on March 1, 2025. The program officially kicks off on March 15, 2025, and runs through June 2025.
