Description
The Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (RMPIF) supports the five designated regional planning and development councils in Maryland, focusing on enhancing economic development and infrastructure in rural areas. These councils work across county lines to foster economic strategies, preserve agricultural industries, and secure federal infrastructure funding. For FY2025, the State has allocated $1,500,000 to support projects that strengthen rural economic and community development. Each council can receive up to $600,000, subject to funding availability, with the aim to tackle regional challenges effectively.
