Description

The Rural Illinois Opioid Overdose Prevention Initiative – Public Safety Involved Linkage to Care program is part of the “Empowering and Equipping Law Enforcement Communities in Rural Illinois to Reduce Opioid Overdose” initiative. This initiative will support two agencies to build a first responder-supported post overdose outreach program in their respective region or county. This project is funded through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) First Responder-Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (FR-CARA). Funds will be used to support awarded agencies in developing and implementing a post overdose outreach program.
