Description
The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation offers unrestricted operating grants and project support to arts and culture organizations based in Denver, aiming to provide stability and growth opportunities. These grants are intended to help organizations carry out their missions, with funding capped at $60,000 for general operating and project support.
Eligibility:
To qualify for funding, organizations must:
Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or a fiscally sponsored arts & culture group.
Have a mission centered on producing and presenting arts for the public.
Be based in the city of Denver, delivering the majority of programs in Denver. However, groups from Arapahoe, Adams, and Jefferson counties may be considered if they primarily serve BIPOC, LGBTQ+, or Disability communities.
Have a minimum of three years of consistent public arts & culture programming.
Have an annual operating budget of at least $50,000 and paid staff equivalent to at least 0.5 FTE.
Show a strong understanding of and plan for implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices.
Application Process:
Eligibility Questionnaire: All new applicants must first complete an eligibility questionnaire. This step is mandatory, and grant requests will be declined without it.
Review: After reviewing the questionnaire, the foundation will follow up with next steps.
Application: If invited, applicants may submit a proposal for one of the quarterly grant cycles.
Deadlines: February 10, May 10, August 10, and November 10 (extended to the following Monday if the date falls on a weekend).
Ineligible for Funding:
Loans, grants, or scholarships to individuals.
Religious activities or initiatives.
Endowment funding.
Requests to retire operating debt.
Organizations or projects outside of Colorado that do not benefit Colorado citizens.
