This funding opportunity provides financial support to K-12 educators in Wyoming for professional development activities that enhance STEM education in their classrooms or educational settings.

Description

Award Details: Up to ~$500 in funding is available for Wyoming educator professional development. This can include attending workshops or seminars, hosting events or activities, purchasing materials for use in the classroom or out-of-school educational settings, continuing education, and other related activities.

Eligibility: Open to educators of all levels (K-12, post-secondary) and affiliations (public, private). Applicants must provide a brief description of the activity for which funding is requested, including dates and location/venue if applicable. The activity should have STEM content and demonstrate a benefit to the teacher, school, students, or organization. The expected number of participants from various categories should be included in the application. Applicants must also provide a summary and short justification of the total anticipated budget and the amount requested from the Wyoming NASA Space Grant.

Application Submission: Interested applicants should submit a short document (about 1 page) containing their name, e-mail address, phone number, affiliation, teaching experience, description of the activity with STEM content, explanation of the benefit, expected number of participants from different categories (if known), summary and justification of budget, and name/affiliation of proposed workshop (if applicable). Applications should be e-mailed to wsgc@uwyo.edu.

Final Report: Organizers of funded events are required to submit a final report regarding the use of funding for NASA reporting purposes. The report should be submitted by e-mail to wsgc@uwyo.edu.
