McKinsey.org Forward Program
This program provides a free ten-week learning opportunity to help individuals with less than five years of work experience or those transitioning careers develop essential skills for success in the modern workforce.
Description
The McKinsey.org Forward program is a free, ten-week interactive learning opportunity designed to equip individuals across different career stages with practical skills necessary for success in the evolving workforce. Whether participants are early in their careers or navigating career changes, the program focuses on enhancing structured thinking, communication, adaptability, emotional awareness, relationship building, and digital literacy.
Participants dedicate about two hours per week to complete digital courses, virtual learning events, assignments, and reflection exercises. At the end of the program, graduates receive a McKinsey.org Forward digital badge, signifying completion of the Core Skills level. They also gain membership in a global network of lifelong learners. The program has already enrolled over 560,000 learners worldwide, with 98% of alumni recommending the experience, 95% feeling more confident in their skills, and 70% reporting career growth within three months of completion.
Eligibility requirements include currently residing in the United States; being employed, self-employed, or between jobs; having less than five years of work experience or more than five years without direct managerial experience; completing at least a secondary or high school education (or GED equivalent); and having a good command of English. The program is designed for people without prior management experience in corporate settings, making it highly accessible for new workforce entrants and early-career professionals.
Applications for the current cycle are open and must be submitted by April 22, 2025. Interested individuals can apply through McKinsey.org’s Forward learning platform. The program is available at no cost to participants.
