Community Impact Grant 2025-2026
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations in West Tennessee for community-driven projects that benefit local residents across various sectors, excluding operating support and individual grants.
Description
The Community Impact Grants, administered by the Community Foundation of West Tennessee, provide annual funding opportunities for nonprofit organizations that serve the people of West Tennessee. Since the program’s launch in 2016, a total of $336,444 has been awarded to local nonprofits across various sectors, including arts, education, healthcare, and legal services. These grants are designed to make a meaningful impact in the region by supporting community-driven initiatives.
For the 2025-2026 grant cycle, funding is available for programs and projects that directly benefit West Tennessee residents. There is no specific funding focus, allowing organizations to apply across multiple issue areas. However, the grants do not provide funding for unrestricted operating support, endowments, debt service, loans, grants to individuals, government entities, or fundraising events. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or be an active fund of the Community Foundation in good standing to be eligible.
Grants are awarded for a one-year term, running from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Applications must request funding for projects that fall within this timeframe. The application deadline is March 31, 2025.
For the 2024-2025 cycle, the foundation awarded $75,000 in grants to eight nonprofit organizations, including All Saints Immigration Services, Boys and Girls Club of Jackson, Habitat for Humanity Jackson, Jackson International Food and Art Festival, Jackson Symphony Association, Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA), United Way of West Tennessee, and WRAP (Wo/Men’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program).
Nonprofits interested in applying are encouraged to review the proposal guidelines before submission. Questions regarding the grant program can be directed to Haley Fortune, Community Impact Manager, at (731) 984-2140.
