The foundation prioritizes projects that align with their principles of promoting self-sufficiency, nurturing leadership, encouraging collaboration, advancing innovative practices, and contributing to public policy advancement. However, they do not support organizations located outside the specified regions, individuals, non-exempt organizations, student aid or travel, construction or equipment, endowment or ongoing operating expenses, national organizations, biomedical research, religious organizations for religious purposes, individual elementary and secondary schools, annual appeals or membership drives, and certain types of events unless integral to a supported program.
