Description
The Witwer Trust Grant Program, administered by the Linn County Board of Supervisors, is now accepting applications for fiscal year 2025 funding. This grant supports nonprofit organizations located in or serving Linn County, Iowa, for projects that directly benefit county residents. Applications are due online by December 15, 2024, at 11:59 PM, and late submissions will not be considered.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits with proof of status or branches in Linn County. Funding is available for programmatic and capital projects, but operating expenses or incurred costs are not eligible. Each organization may submit one application for one project only. Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification.
Applications must include an organizational budget, proof of nonprofit status, board of directors list, project budget, and a completed assurances form. Projects will be evaluated based on potential for long-term impact, serving a broad or at-risk population, addressing emerging or ongoing needs, collaboration with other organizations, financial sustainability, and clear goals.
The grant review process begins after the submission deadline, with decisions announced in February 2025. Grant recipients must submit a final report, including financial documentation, by November 1, 2025. Organizations that fail to meet this requirement will be ineligible for future funding. Unspent funds must be returned, and funded projects must credit the Linn County Board of Supervisors Witwer Trust in all related materials.
