Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Grant
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations and government entities in Brown, Kewaunee, and Oconto counties to support innovative projects that address community needs in areas such as education, health, and the arts.
Description
The Funds for Greater Green Bay program, offered by the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, provides grants to nonprofit organizations addressing community needs in Brown, Kewaunee, and Oconto counties. This program supports innovative ideas that create measurable positive impacts across a variety of focus areas, including arts and culture, basic needs, education, environment and conservation, health and wellness, human services, older adults, public benefit and community improvement, and youth development.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or government entities, such as schools or municipalities. All programs must directly serve the people of the Greater Green Bay area, operate without discrimination, and demonstrate alignment with at least one of the foundation’s priority areas.
The program offers various types of grants, including support for specific projects, equipment, technology, training, and operational needs. Proposals are evaluated on several criteria, such as their potential to create impact, address a clearly defined need, build organizational capacity, and become self-sufficient. Strong applications will demonstrate collaboration, feasibility, and a reasonable level of risk, with accurate and appropriate budgets. Additionally, programs are expected to articulate measurable outcomes, attract additional funding, and provide long-term benefits relative to their cost.
Grantees must maintain a positive standing with the foundation, including timely and complete submission of final reports for previously received grants. This ensures accountability and helps sustain a strong partnership with the foundation.
Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to review the grant guidelines and contact Kari Olsen, Director of Grants and Scholarship Programming, for guidance. For more details, applicants can reach out at 920.432.0800 or through the foundation’s website. This grant program is an excellent opportunity for nonprofits to enhance their capacity and address emerging community needs.
