This funding opportunity provides financial support to local artists and cultural organizations in Baltimore to enhance community arts programming and individual artistic projects.
Description
The Creative Baltimore Fund for FY 2025, administered by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) on behalf of the Mayor and City of Baltimore, provides funding to support local artists and arts and cultural organizations. This grant program, funded annually through the City of Baltimore’s general fund and managed by the Baltimore City Arts Council, features two main components: General Operating Support (GOS) and the Mayor’s Individual Artist Award for Project/Practice Support (PS).
The General Operating Support grant awards between $3,000 and $10,000 to established arts and cultural organizations offering vibrant, community-beneficial programming. The Mayor’s Individual Artist Project Support grant awards $3,000 to 10 artists to support individual practices or projects that enhance public access to arts and cultural programming. Both grants are disbursed in full upon contract signing and processing.
Applications are submitted through Submittable, and the deadline is Monday, December 2, 2024. Detailed guidelines, eligibility criteria, scoring rubrics, and timelines for both grants can be accessed through their respective application links on the BOPA website.
