Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund 2025
This funding opportunity supports alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs in Namibia to implement innovative projects that promote social change in their communities.
Description
The U.S. Mission to Namibia, under the Department of State, is offering the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) 2025 grant opportunity. This initiative supports alumni of U.S. government-funded or U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs who wish to implement innovative projects that build on the skills and knowledge gained from their exchange experiences. The grant seeks to foster collaboration among alumni and enhance their ability to create positive social change in their communities.
AEIF 2025 is designed to support project teams consisting of at least two eligible alumni. The program encourages collaboration between alumni from different exchange programs and countries. However, U.S. citizens may not submit proposals as lead applicants but are permitted to participate as team members. While non-governmental organizations (NGOs), think tanks, and academic institutions are ineligible to apply directly, they can partner with alumni-led teams to assist with project implementation.
The grant will provide a total of $35,000 in funding, with award amounts ranging between $5,000 and $35,000. Two awards are expected to be distributed. There is no cost-sharing or matching requirement for applicants. The funding is categorized under Education, reflecting the program’s focus on knowledge exchange, learning initiatives, and innovative projects led by alumni.
Eligible applicants must submit their proposals to WindhoekPublicDiplomacy@state.gov by March 14, 2025. The application period opened on February 13, 2025, and all applications must be submitted before the closing date of March 14, 2025. The grant does not operate on a rolling basis, and there is no indication of recurring availability for future cycles.
