This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations that provide services to women, children, and families in Taos and Western Colfax Counties, aiming to create meaningful community change.

Description

The Women Give Taos Impact Grant, administered by the Taos Community Foundation, provides funding to nonprofit organizations that serve women, children, and families in Taos and Western Colfax Counties. This grant opportunity supports either a transformative project or an enhancement of services that align with the Women Give Taos (WGT) funding priorities. The initiative is part of the Women Give Taos Giving Circle, a philanthropic effort that unites women to support impactful community programs. The grant aims to create meaningful change by investing in programs that directly improve the lives of women and children in these communities.

For the 2025 funding cycle, one grant of up to $30,000 will be awarded. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing, federally recognized Indian tribes, fiscally sponsored organizations, public schools, and governmental agencies. Individuals are not eligible to apply. The grant does not restrict previous awardees from reapplying, meaning organizations that received the WGT grant in the prior year may submit a new application.

The application period for the 2025 Women Give Taos Grant opens on December 27, 2024, and closes on February 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Late applications will not be considered. Submissions will be reviewed by the WGT Grants Committee, and final funding recommendations will be made by the Women Give Taos Giving Circle to the Taos Community Foundation Board. Some applicants may be asked to provide additional information, including a two-minute video presentation describing their proposal.

The grant program emphasizes collective giving and long-term sustainability for programs benefiting women and children. WGT members contribute financially to support grantmaking efforts, with 70% of their annual contributions directed toward immediate grant funding and 30% allocated to the Women and Girls Endowment Fund. This structure ensures continued support for community programs in the future.

Women Give Taos operates under the Taos Community Foundation, which provides administrative and fund management support. The initiative encourages women to leverage their philanthropic, financial, and leadership resources to make a lasting impact.
