gBETA Alaska Accelerator Program 2025
This program provides mentorship and resources to early-stage Alaskan startups, helping them refine their business models and prepare for investment without taking any equity.
Description
gBETA Alaska is a free seven-week accelerator program designed for early-stage companies with local roots in Alaska. The program, run by gener8tor, provides mentorship, networking, and investor connections to help startups refine their business models, scale sales, and prepare for investment opportunities. Up to five companies are selected per cohort from a competitive applicant pool. The program includes individualized coaching, weekly learning sessions, and access to $1M+ in vendor deals and perks from companies such as IBM Cloud, Amazon, and Microsoft. Participants also gain access to ongoing support after the program ends through gener8tor’s alumni network and industry-specific conferences.
The purpose of gBETA Alaska is to support high-potential startups in the region by equipping them with the skills and connections needed to grow and attract investment. By participating, founders receive guidance on business development, revenue models, financing strategies, and investor readiness. The program is structured to ensure that startups are well-prepared to either join a full-scale investment accelerator or raise a seed funding round upon completion.
Funding through gBETA Alaska is entirely non-dilutive, meaning that no equity is taken from participants and no direct financial investment is provided. Instead, the program offers expert mentorship, structured workshops, and curated introductions to investors and accelerators. The program is best suited for founders who are already generating revenue or are ready to scale their sales, as well as those who are coachable and open to feedback.
Eligibility for gBETA Alaska requires that applicants have a strong connection to Alaska and can commit at least 85% of their time to the program. The program involves a significant time investment, including two one-hour strategy meetings per week, weekly educational sessions, and mentor networking events. Participants must also be willing to openly discuss their business challenges and fundraising goals with mentors and investors.
The application process is competitive, with a deadline for the Spring 2025 cohort set for February 28, 2025. The program officially begins on March 27, 2025, and concludes on May 16, 2025. During the final week, participants take part in investor pitch meetings and a showcase event where they present their progress to a broader audience, including potential investors and business partners.
After the program, gBETA alumni continue to receive support, including access to networking events, additional mentorship, and investor connections. They may also participate in gener8tor’s conferences and industry-specific investor "Lightning Rounds." Founders interested in applying to gBETA Alaska can schedule office hours with program staff or reach out directly to the managing director or program manager for more information.
