The Fund for Women Barriers to Care program provides financial assistance to individual women currently receiving medical treatment for breast cancer who live in Chemung, Schuyler or Steuben Counties. As long as applicants live locally, they may be receiving their medical treatment within or outside of the region. Grant awards are limited to $500 each and can be used for expenses that include but are not limited to transportation, child care, food and prosthetics.

Grants are made based on the applicant’s financial need and the availability of funds.
