2025 Artist Entrepreneurial Grants
This program provides funding to New Hampshire-based artists and creatives to help them improve their business and artistic skills through professional development, training, and promotional activities.
Description
The Artist Entrepreneurial Grants program supports New Hampshire-based artists, creatives, and makers by providing funding to enhance their business and artistic skills. The grant offers opportunities for artists to develop professionally, participate in training, create promotional materials, or present their work to new audiences. The grants are available for opportunities occurring between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, with application deadlines on May 3, August 2, and November 1, 2024, and February 7, 2025. Funding requests range from $250 to $2,500, and no cash match is required for the 2025 fiscal year.
Eligible applicants must be individual professional artists residing in New Hampshire for at least one year, with exceptions for some artists near the state border. The grant does not support organizations, students, or recurring applicants who have already received three successive grants. Ineligible costs include equipment purchases, creation of new work, and certain travel and production expenses.
Applications are reviewed competitively, and funding decisions are based on criteria such as the impact of the opportunity on the artist’s career, the planning and budget for the proposed activity, and how it aligns with the artist’s business goals. Successful applicants will receive funding within four to ten weeks, depending on the grant amount and approval process. Recipients are required to submit a final report within 30 days of project completion or by July 31, 2025.
Artists are encouraged to contact the program’s grant coordinator for guidance and to submit drafts of their applications ahead of the deadline. Applications must be submitted through an online portal, and all required documentation, such as budget forms, work samples, and résumés, must be uploaded as part of the application process【34†source】.
