Description

The Tellico Community Foundation, an affiliate fund of the East Tennessee Foundation (ETF), is dedicated to enhancing the communities of Loudon and Monroe counties by funding programs and projects that result in measurable, sustainable improvements. This grant opportunity focuses on enriching these communities, particularly in the area of childhood development and education, and is available to nonprofit organizations within the region.

Applications for funding open on February 3, 2025, and will close on February 28, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Eligible organizations can apply for grants up to $10,000. The grants awarded in May 2025 will be for one-year terms, with the funding period lasting from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026. Organizations applying for funding should propose innovative programs or projects that specifically target childhood development and education.

To be eligible for funding, organizations must have a local presence in Loudon and/or Monroe County and must directly serve the people living and working within these areas. The Tellico Community Foundation encourages, but does not require, a 20% match for funds requested. This match can come in the form of cash, in-kind donations of goods and/or services, or a combination of both.

The application process involves submitting an application via an online system. To assist organizations, there is a tutorial available for completing the grant application. Specific questions about the application system or the grant cycle can be directed to the East Tennessee Foundation's Grantmaking Team, which includes Ashley Siferd Butler, Director of Competitive Grants, and Brooke Anguiano, Grantmaking & Operations Associate. For inquiries about the Tellico Community Foundation itself, individuals should contact Dara Worrell, Director of Regional Advancement.

The Tellico Community Foundation operates with the goal of providing strong, thoughtful giving to foster better lives and stronger communities in Loudon and Monroe counties. They are committed to working closely with local organizations to ensure that grants are awarded to those making the most significant impact in the region.
