2024 Fall People Fund Grant
This funding opportunity provides financial support to non-profit organizations in the Great Lakes Energy service area for one-time charitable projects that benefit a large number of people and assist individuals or families in crisis.
Description
The People Fund Grant, facilitated by Great Lakes Energy, aims to enhance the quality of life in communities within its service area by awarding grants to non-profit organizations for charitable activities. The funds are collected through the "round-up" program where members' bills are rounded up to the next dollar. Grants are distributed by three independent Boards of Directors representing south, central, and north geographical regions. The People Fund prioritizes projects that are one-time in nature, benefit a large number of people, leverage additional funds, and aid individuals or families in crisis. Letters of interest are due April 1 and October 1, with grant applications due by April 15 and October 15.
Grant renewed every year.
