The United Way Serving Howard and Tipton Counties is offering its Spring 2025 Community Investment Grant, designed to support nonprofit organizations in these two Indiana counties. The grant aims to fund programs or projects that align with the United Way’s mission of promoting health, education, and financial stability. Nonprofits are encouraged to propose initiatives that demonstrate a measurable positive impact on the community and support United Way’s goals of advocacy, service, and empowerment.
Funding amounts vary based on the needs and scope of each proposal, but partial funding will not be awarded. Additionally, grants cannot be used to fund programs or projects that take place before April 2025, the anticipated date of grant announcements. Organizations receiving funding must submit progress updates as outlined in their grant agreements.
Eligibility is open to all nonprofits operating in Howard and Tipton Counties, but participation in the Letter of Intent (LOI) phase, which closed on January 13, 2025, was mandatory. Only organizations that completed this step are eligible to proceed with the application process. Full applications were made available to eligible organizations beginning January 13 and must be submitted no later than February 3, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Optional information sessions are available to help applicants understand the process and requirements. These sessions will be held on January 15, 2025, at the United Way office in Kokomo, Indiana, and on January 17, 2025, at the Tipton County Foundation in Tipton, Indiana. Applicants are encouraged to attend to ensure their proposals meet all guidelines and expectations.
Grant recipients will be announced in April 2025, and all funded programs will be required to provide regular updates to the United Way. Reporting requirements will include details on the use of funds and progress toward the stated goals of the project or program. More specifics on these requirements will be included in grant agreements.
