Impact100 Metro Denver

This grant provides $100,000 to nonprofit organizations in the Denver area to support transformative projects that enhance economic opportunity, health, or social services for local residents.

Description

The Impact100 Metro Denver 2024 Transformational Grant provides a one-time $100,000 grant to a nonprofit organization in the Denver metropolitan area. This funding is intended to create significant and lasting improvements that advance the nonprofit’s mission and its service to the community. The grant supports core mission funding, which can be used for new or expanded programs, infrastructure, or other initiatives that transform the organization’s ability to serve its constituents. Funds must be expended within 24 months of receipt.

Eligible applicants must have 501(c)(3) status and a focused mission in one of three areas: Economic Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency, Health and Wellness, or Social Services. Organizations must have annual operating expenses between $500,000 and $5 million and direct at least 65% of their programming to the residents of one or more of the seven Metro Denver counties. The organization must demonstrate constituent engagement, a commitment to racial equity, and financial soundness. Applications must request the full $100,000, as smaller proposals are not considered.

The grant will not fund activities such as debt reduction, operating deficits, endowments, fundraising events, political activities, or litigation. Subsidiaries of national organizations may apply only if they have a local board responsible for decisions. Previous recipients of Impact100 grants are subject to reapplication wait periods based on the amount previously awarded.

Applications are due by 5:00 PM on December 15, 2023, and must be submitted via email as two separate PDF documents: one detailing the grant proposal and the other containing financial information. Required documentation includes the organization’s mission statement, a description of the proposal’s impact, a detailed budget and timeline, the two most recent IRS 990 forms, major contributors for the past two years, and current and projected financials.

The grant review process spans January to May 2024, including site visits for selected applicants in March. Finalists will be chosen in May and invited to create a video presentation for Impact100 members, who will vote to determine the grant recipient. The grant will be awarded at the annual meeting, with potential additional funding for other finalists.

Applicants are encouraged to attend one of two informational webinars, on October 19 or November 14, 2024, to address questions and gain insights into the application process. Webinar recordings and other resources will be available online. For questions, applicants can email grants@impact100metrodenver.org.
