The City of Snyder Facade Grant Program is a 75% matching grant initiative designed to revitalize commercial properties by reimbursing up to $25,000 for approved exterior improvements. The program aims to preserve the historic character of Snyder, enhance economic growth, and support local businesses by improving the visual appeal of storefronts. By investing in aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained exteriors, the program encourages new business attraction, increased property values, and higher foot traffic in commercial areas.

Eligible improvements under the program include exterior painting, signage updates, window and door replacements, lighting installations, landscaping enhancements, parking lot improvements, and brick or masonry restoration. To further incentivize participation, permit fees will be waived for businesses approved under the program.

The Facade Grant Program aligns with the City of Snyder Comprehensive Plan, which prioritizes supporting local businesses, fostering economic development, and maintaining a vibrant commercial district. The program reflects the city's commitment to creating an inviting and dynamic environment for residents, business owners, and visitors.

Applications for the program are currently open. Business owners and commercial property owners interested in applying are encouraged to review the program guidelines and submit an application online at Snydertx.gov/457/Programs-Grants.

The deadline for applications is February 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
