Junior League of Northern Virginia

This grant provides funding to organizations in Northern Virginia that support women and families by improving access to essential services and professional development opportunities.

Description

The Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) Community Grants Program is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 grant cycle, open from October 7 to December 8, 2024. With a focus on "Women Helping Women," the program aims to enhance economic stability for women and families in Northern Virginia by supporting organizations that improve access to essential services and professional development opportunities.

To assist applicants, JLNV is hosting a virtual Community Grants Information Session on October 17 at noon and a Grant Writing Workshop on November 6 at 7:30 p.m., led by Fund Development Council Director Sarah Babins. The workshop will cover techniques for writing compelling proposals, identifying appropriate grants, and communicating organizational missions effectively to funders. While attendance is optional, these sessions are designed to strengthen applicants' chances of success.

Further details on the grant, including eligibility and application guidelines, are available on the JLNV website. For questions, applicants can contact the Community Grants Committee via email at communitygrants@jlnv.org or by calling 703-442-4163.
