The Wellfleet community preservation committee accepts project applications annually for Community Preservation Act funding from individuals or organizations. Funds are targeted for the acquisition, creation, and preservation of open space; historic resources; land for recreational use and the rehabilitation of recreational facilities; and the creation, preservation, and support of community housing. Annual Town Meeting in April. Late applications are considered for the fall Special Town Meeting, provided the applicant can demonstrate that a significant opportunity would be lost otherwise.
