The Selley Foundation

Applications Due: Rolling
Private
The Selley Foundation is a donor-advised fund of the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

This grant provides financial support for nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in the Greater New Orleans area to enhance projects in arts, culture, and education, with a focus on those demonstrating excellence.

Description

The Selley Foundation is currently accepting grant applications to support initiatives in the Greater New Orleans area. The foundation focuses on funding projects in the areas of arts & culture, education, and occasionally the environment. Nonprofits with capital needs or special programs for higher learning institutions and high schools with a record of excellence are encouraged to apply. However, Selley does not fund 100 percent of a project and does not support athletics, annual operating funds, special events, or fundraising benefits.

The application process consists of two steps: submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI) through the online grant portal and, if invited, submitting a full grant application. The LOIs for the spring cycle are due by February 4th, with full applications considered in May. For the fall cycle, LOIs are due by August 2nd, with full applications considered in November. Organizations must wait 18 months after being awarded a Selley grant before reapplying.

All submissions must be done electronically through the Foundation’s online grant portal using Foundant technology partner's tutorial for applicants. It is recommended that potential applicants review this video before beginning their application to better understand the process.
