On the Path to PTQ Grant
This program provides financial support to licensed family childcare providers in specific Indiana and Illinois counties to help them overcome barriers to achieving high-quality childcare designations.
Description
The "On the Path to PTQ" grant program, offered by the United Way of the Wabash Valley (UWWV) through its Success By 6 initiative, aims to support childcare providers in advancing toward high-quality childcare designations. The program offers a total of $75,000 in grants, with individual awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000, to licensed family childcare providers in Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, or Vigo Counties in Indiana, and Clark County, Illinois. The grant funds are intended to help providers overcome specific barriers to participating in Indiana's Paths to QUALITY (PTQ) or the Illinois equivalent, and must be spent within one year of receiving the grant.
Eligible applicants must operate year-round as licensed family childcare homes and agree to participate in PTQ or the Illinois equivalent. Priority will be given to those who have not received United Way funding in the past two years. Applications should identify a barrier preventing advancement in the PTQ program and describe how grant funds will help remove it, along with an anticipated timeline and the number of children impacted.
The application deadline is 4:00 PM ET on December 16, 2024. Applicants can find the application form and budget template on the UWWV website.
