The 2025-2026 United Way Grant for Hubbard County Non-profits is a funding opportunity aimed at supporting non-profit organizations that provide essential community services within Hubbard County, Minnesota. This grant is managed by the United Way of the Bemidji Area and is funded through contributions raised in the 2024 Campaign for the Community. Grants will range from $500 to $5,000, with the amount awarded depending on the number of recipients. The application deadline for this funding cycle is Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM.

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organizations that are already operational and actively providing the services for which they seek funding. Additionally, each applicant must annually submit an "Affidavit of Compliance" with the charitable regulations of the State of Minnesota. Organizations must also be able to document their service impact and address an identifiable community need within the United Way of Bemidji Area's service focus. These focus areas include Youth Opportunity (Education), Financial Stability (Basic Needs), and Healthy Community (Health). Programs must demonstrate clear service outcomes targeted at an identifiable population within Hubbard County.

To be eligible, organizations must adhere to a strict non-discrimination policy and maintain an active, rotating volunteer board that represents the diverse demographics of the Hubbard County community. Applicants must also exhibit sound financial and program management practices, including compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures and the submission of an annual audit performed by an independent certified public accountant or accounting firm.

Additionally, applicants must have a local presence in Hubbard County. If the organization is part of a national or state-chartered entity, it must maintain a local chapter or program that actively serves the area. The funding provided through this grant cannot be used for capital projects, including remodeling, renovations, expansion, or new construction. Furthermore, United Way does not fund athletic organizations or events, political organizations or activities, past deficits, individuals, or for-profit organizations.
